What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

The acceptance, the support, the athleticism the freedom to enjoy himself and have fun with children his age while learning. I think it’s a form of sensory seeking that he is able to satisfy to a degree by watching the repetition, motion and flow. Seeing it’s ok to FALL, & GET BACK UP no matter the set backs. 🏆

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

We’re big eagles fans over here, but he has an older cousin that is the stud linebacker playing for the University of South Dakota currently, #5, that’s been supportive of him and quite the role model in several sports & academics.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

We were only watching skateboarding for a few months, (he liked to sit at the skatepark and observe and cheer, lol) but one day we were in a store grabbing some things for the house, he saw a skateboard on the shelf, grabbed it, got on it & started rolling. I grabbed my phone as fast as I could in shock because I was so proud and couldn't believe what I was seeing! I’m tremendously proud because up until then he’d been very shy, reluctant to even try. He only wanted to watch, until THAT day!
