Mason had a stroke in utero and doesn’t use his left hand/arm. He has grown to love the challenge! As much as he struggles sometimes playing different than everyone else; Mase enjoys finding new ways to become a better player!
Jim Abbott is an idol of Masons. Jim went through all of the same struggles Mason is going through. Mase stopped playing for a short time and Jim sent a letter encouraging him to get back in the game. Life is about challenges and how you handle them says a lot! Mason has taken his handicap and completely turned it around to strengthen all of his skills including his mindset!
Masons 10u All-Star team made it to regionals last year. He had so many played and coaches approach him after the games to say how impressed they were watching him play. Mason stayed humble and went on to talk about the other played and how inspiring they were to watch!! I love his love for the game and how encouraging he is with his and other teammates!
