What my son loves most about baseball is being part of a team and the challenge every play brings. He takes pride in being able to play anywhere—left field, third, second, first, or behind the plate. He’s always ready to step in wherever he’s needed and give 100%. Baseball has taught him discipline, leadership, and resilience, and he truly enjoys every moment he’s on the field competing and improving.
My son is inspired by his mom and dad, his Nana and Papa, and his Aunt Hissy and David, who always support him and push him to be his best. They’ve taught him the value of hard work, humility, and never giving up. His coach, Garen Metzger, has also had a huge impact—encouraging him to grow as both a player and a leader. Their belief in him drives his passion and effort in everything he does.
One of my proudest moments as a parent was watching my son behind the plate during a tournament. A runner tried to steal third, and he made a perfect throw to get the out. Without missing a beat, the third baseman threw to first, turning it into a double play. My son’s awareness, quick decision-making, and leadership helped his team in a big moment. Plays like that show his deep understanding of the game and his dedication to always giving his best.
