What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Mason loves baseball—not just the competition or the fun, but most of all, the chance to share the game with his friends. He thrives on being part of a team. Whenever other coaches asked him to fill in, his first question was always, “Can my friends come too?” That team spirit is what makes Mason so special. That’s just who Mason is—loyal, team-minded, and all about playing alongside the people he cares about.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Mason’s grandfather played a significant role in his life. When Mason’s dad traveled for work, his mom often took him and his brother to stay with their grandparents. During those visits, his grandpa always made time for Mason—teaching him about cars, character, and love. Even after his grandfather passed, Mason continues to honor him, often saying he’s still watching and that he still loves him—whether on the field, the court, or in life.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

During a tense baseball game, Mason hit a walk-off home run—an unforgettable moment. But what stood out even more was what happened next. His best friend had been pitching for the opposing team and was emotional after the game-ending play. Without hesitation, Mason walked over and wrapped him in a hug, showing that friendship and compassion matter more than the final score.
