Everything! Mason loves learning new plays, the excitement of the games and being a part of a team. He has always been a hard worker and great team player. Whether it’s school or sports, he gives his all. If he doesn’t understand something or isn’t good at a skill, he asks the questions to figure it out and puts in the work until he gets it. He doesn’t complain about how hard or hot practices get. Sports are a passion of his. His eyes light up during football season-especially game time!
His Dad, both on and off the field. He helps coach Mason‘s team and used to play football himself. They are two peas in a pod, talking football all year long (stats, plays, etc.). Mason looks up to him tremendously, trusts his suggestions and respects his judgement. His dad encourages him and reminds him to have fun! Hunter Wohler is another role model for Mason. He comes from our same home town! This has given Mason motivation that he could also become a pro football player one day.
One of his coaches came up to him after a pretty bad loss and commended him on his hard work and no quit attitude. That was a very proud moment to have him recognized for his great sportsmanship and for not giving up when the game wasn’t going their way. Another was in a football game, during his first year of tackle, he was the first defensive player to get a pick 6! To say we were all excited would be an understatement!
