What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Baseball is more than just a game, it’s a sport that brings families together and builds life long bonds - I love the camaraderie and the brothers I’ve gained through the game. I love the opportunities it has given me and I love the sacredness of stepping onto the field - the respect that it demands from me, the discipline that’s is expected of me and the feeling of being under pressure on the mound with the game on the line, bases loaded, 2 outs, 3/2 count turns into KO time!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

I am inspired by all the players who have stepped on the mound before me. They have paved the way, set the standard and shown what it is to be successful. Additionally, I am inspired by my family. I am the youngest of 5 and uncle to 3. The love, support and sacrifice they have shown me is humbling. They push me to be my best, they believe in me they are my biggest fans and are always in the stands. They never give up, and they always make the time to show up! The love of the game inspires me.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

I am so proud every time I hear his name announced and he takes to the mound. The confidence that he displays. However, his junior year not only was he was pitcher of the year but he was first team all district (26-6A ) in one of the toughest districts in the state.
