Maverick puts his heart in all of his sports —soccer, baseball, and basketball. He is a great listener and leader on and off of the fields.

Mav has always enjoyed being active, so he likes to have fun with all of his sports. He also loves making new friends and learning new moves. Even at home he is always practicing or watching YouTube videos to learn something new. Maverick loves being a team player too. He gets just as excited assisting his teammates to score as he would if he were to score.
His older cousin Ralphie is probably his biggest inspiration. Maverick has always looked up to him, especially whenever it comes to soccer, Maverick follows his every move. Ralphie is always a team player in soccer & teaching himself new soccer tricks and Maverick follows that lead on and off of the field.
There’s so many proud moments to choose from; from him getting over his fear of getting hit by the baseball (starting out he was hit hard a couple of times) to his hustle on the basketball court to his leadership and initiative to help others on the soccer field. If I have to choose just one thing it’d be his resilience!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
