Maverick says he loves making plays for and with his team. Taking risks on the field and at bat.
Someone that inspires Maverick on the field is his teammate “Q”, when he pitches, he’s not afraid and that inspires me to not be scared. His teammate Evan inspires him on the field by always getting on base and drives in team runs, despite being hit at the plate more times than they’d like to count. Coach Mike inspired Maverick to take risks at the plate and pushed him to get out of a batting slump and not be afraid to strike out.
One moment that makes Maverick the proudest was his team getting a drastic win after several losses all season. The most recent win allowed their team to move up from the lowest bracket to a higher bracket in a tournament. Maverick is proud about the way his teammate hyped each other up, talked to teammates throughout the game and kept their chins high!
