Join the CompetitionWhat Memphis and Phoenix love most about playing soccer is the challenge. They like to play against different teams and players. Yes they are both competitive, but they learn from every team and player they play against. After every game they discuss how the game played out, what went well, and what they could have done different. They not only love to play in the games, but they love to practice. They practice just about everyday at home.
Soccer started at the age of 3 for Memphis and Phoenix in the preschool they attended where I worked. That is where the love of soccer began. The soccer program they were in Soccer Shots helped to develop their beginning skills to get them where they are today. I have to say Coach Gray inspired them to be soccer players. He worked with them twice a week for an hour. Coach Gray encouraged them to be better at each practice and praised them for the efforts they gave. He saw something in them.
What makes me the proudest is as much as they love soccer and would play year round they showed interest in trying other sports. They knew we couldn’t afford to put them in multiple sports at a time so they had to give up spring soccer to play flag football, lacrosse, basketball, and baseball. Both are in Martial Arts and have committed to a 3 year program to earn their black belt. They are dedicate and motivate not only for themselves, but for their teammates. I am so proud
