What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Mia loves everything about flag football—the energy, the strategy, and the bond with her teammates. But what she loves most is the confidence it gives her. When she’s on the field, she feels strong, focused, and in control. It’s where she can push herself, grow as a player, and just be herself. The sport has helped her build discipline, resilience, and pride in how far she’s come—and that’s what keeps her passionate and motivated every time she plays.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Mia is inspired by her mom, who’s shown her what it means to work hard, stay focused, and never give up—no matter the obstacles. Watching her mom juggle life, work, and family with strength and determination has taught Mia to stay driven and always believe in herself. That same mindset is what she brings onto the field. Her mom’s example reminds her that with heart and hustle, anything is possible.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the proudest moments in Mia’s athletic journey was when she made a competitive travel flag football team on her very first tryout. She went in nervous but determined, gave it her all, and came out with a spot on the roster. That moment wasn’t just about making the team—it was the result of years of hard work, growth, and believing in herself. Seeing her reach that milestone with so much pride and joy was truly unforgettable.
