You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
Mia loves the friendships she develops, the way the teams become her second family, and seeing the hard work she’s put in through the season payoff at competition. She loves the opportunities that cheer has given her such as traveling to new places, meeting inspiring athletes, and becoming an athlete that others can look up to. She takes being a role model for younger athletes very seriously both on and off the mat. Mia has attended many skills camps and clinics to better her own technique.
One of Mia’s biggest inspirations in cheerleading is Brian Gravely. He became her coach at Famous Superstars Allstars gym. Brian showed Mia that she was “capable of hard things” and pushed her to be not only an amazing athlete, but an amazing human who stays humble, confident, and kind. He taught her that winning isn’t everything but playing your role on the team to the best of your ability is the most important. Brian has also shown Mia that any dream is obtainable if you put in the work.
One moment in Mia’s athletic journey that she’s most proud of was making it to the D2 Summit and earning the privilege of competing at the ESPN arena in Orlando Florida. This was the first step to reaching her biggest dream of competing at Worlds one day and eventually earning a spot on Team USA.
