Michael loves to be challenged mentally and physically. He is very active and he believes in “full body sacrifice” in everything he does. Taekwando opened up the doors for him to find love a for wrestling, judo, and soccer. The skills he found in the dojo carry over into each of these sports.
He has grown up watching Jackie Chan, Cristiano Ronaldo and Kobe Bryant. He watches their technique and their work ethic on and off “the pitch” and has learned a little from each of them. He values their hard work and passion. Michael has found a crew in his dojo with similar abilities and skills. They push each other to want to be better, fight harder, & jump higher. They are best friends and cheer each other on even when fighting each other.
Michael grew up in and out of the hospital. As a toddler, not only did he have asthma and food allergies, he had a feeding tube in his nose for almost a year. Taekwando was really the first thing he was allowed to do because he got sick after every birthday party and playdate. When we found Taekwando, he really grew as a person. A few years ago, he achieved his black belt. He ran 5 miles in an hour followed by 1000 jumping jacks and squats, 500 sit ups and 500 push ups. We were so proud.
