What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Because he is so competitive, Michael loves the rush of competition and how the sport constantly pushes him to improve. He enjoys the discipline it teaches, the teamwork it builds, and the focus it gives him both on and off the field. Being part of a team, working toward a goal, and seeing his hard work pay off brings him a sense of purpose and pride that he carries into every area of his life.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Michael is inspired by his coach, who believes in hard work, respect, and never giving up. His coach’s guidance and dedication motivate Michael to give his all, both in sports and in life. He is also inspired by his mom, who used to love sports as well and his dad who supports all of his endeavour to the fullest. He strives to make them proud and improve his skills through his training and with the support of his family and friends.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The proudest moment was when Michael came second in the city championships. Instead of being disappointed, he showed true sportsmanship, congratulating his teammates and giving credit to the other runners. His humility, grace, and team spirit made that moment even more meaningful than a win. It showed that no matter what, Michael is able to show respect and appreciation to his opponents and is always there to support and uplift his teammates.
