Michelle loves the sport’s competitive spirit on the ice while everyone is kind and fun off the ice. She enjoys tournaments across Canada and the close friendships she’s built. She’s proud to be part of a community that values effort, teamwork, and giving back—volunteering and mentoring younger athletes has made her love the game even more.
Michelle is inspired by coaches who took extra time to guide her, elite women athletes, and by her sister, who fuels her competitive drive. Coaches who cared made her feel seen, warming her hands and teaching in ways she could understand. Watching top-level play motivates her to aim high, while playing against her sister keeps her sharp and driven. These role models push her to be her best, both on and off the ice.
It’s hard to pick one moment—I’m proud of Michelle’s work ethic, heart, and resilience. She trains year-round, pushes through even when ill at tournaments, supports her team, and always strives to improve. One special moment was seeing her win game MVP; it meant so much because she rarely gets that recognition. Watching her smile with pride reminded us how hard she works and how much she loves her sport. That joy made us even prouder of the strong, dedicated athlete she’s become.
