I believe he drew inspiration from his stepfather, Jason. They met about six years ago, and Jason took him under his wing without hesitation. Having served in the military, Jason taught him the importance of being respectful, kind, honest, and responsible. Under his guidance, he also learned to never give up and to always strive to be his very best.
The one moment that sticks out in our mind is the 1st time Miguel qualified to run in the Indiana State Middle School Championship in Terre Haute IN. It was such a joyous moment and we saw his face full of joy and sense of accomplishment from his effort and hardwork. We were filled with such happiness and a sense of full fillment in our son's Cross Country career.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
