What Milad loves the most about his sport is the amount of work that is required of him to succeed. This satisfies his level of dedication and how much effort he inputs, helps in other aspects of his life successes. Milad won the Team Player of the year award. He enjoys helping others, by giving them tips on how to improve. Milad enjoys good sportsmanship. He experiences a great sense of accomplishment, as he sharpens his skills and celebrates each milestone with enjoyment.
Muggsy Bowes, was the shortest player and still made it to the NBA despite his height. He made up for it with his skills. Milad was inspired by him and practiced the same ethics. Milad being one of the shortest players, however, due to his skills he was chosen to be on a team 2 years older. Bruce Lee's life was also an inspiration as he faced adversity. Milad wanted to finish what his older brother had started, due to a severe injury, his basketball dreams ended. He was Milad's first coach.
Milad made me proud when he went back to basketball practice and participated in one handed tasks while he was in a cast. Diligently practicing his vertical leap Milad started with a 23 inch vertical and continued to practice. Currently, Milad jumps at 30 inches with the ability to touch 9ft 1inches and measures in at 5'1". Above all, his dedication to the sport, waking up on time for practice, staying organized with his uniform, remembering the schedule seamlessly with minimal adult reminders.
