Miskaya loves dancing because she enjoys constantly learning new skills. She loves showing her creativity, expressing herself through movement and connecting with music.
Victoria and Melanie from Master Ballet Academy because of their commitment to the art of ballet. They have incredible skill and encourage dancers to not only push themselves but to also have fun while training, which is so important in such a serious form of dance. Miskaya is also inspired by Tate McRae because she took her years of dance training and made a successful career using those skills both directly on stage but also indirectly with her dedication, creativity and passion.
Miskaya is going into her third year of competitive dance. Last year was her second year in the competitive program at her studio and her first year with a ballet solo. A moment that makes me proud was when she forgot part of her solo while performing on stage. Instead of panicking, she improvised so smoothly that nobody was able to tell there was a mistake. She ended up winning the Judges Overall Dancer in her division. Later in the season, she also won a “Music Box Dancer” award for her solo.
