What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What I love most about playing basketball is the way it pushes me—mentally and physically. I love being on the court and seeing the game unfold, making quick decisions, setting up my teammates, and taking control as the point guard. It’s not just about scoring, it’s about leading, seeing the floor, and making everyone around me better. I love the competition, especially playing against older girls and proving I can hold my own—or even stand out. When I step on the court, it feels like home.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

I’m inspired by a few really important people. First, my coaches—because they push me to be better every day, hold me to a high standard, and trust me to lead as a point guard, even when I’m playing up against high school talent. My family inspires me too, especially my dad. He’s always believed in me, trained with me, supported me at every game, and taught me how to stay grounded and focused. And honestly, I also inspire myself. I stay motivated because I know what I’m capable of in life.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the proudest moments in my journey was when I went to a top-notch basketball camp with a lot of girls--many older than me--and I stood out as one of the top players. I held my own, competed hard, and proved that I belong at a high level. That moment reminded me that all the early mornings, tough workouts, and sacrifices are worth it. It wasn’t just about winning—it was about earning respect, even from players and coaches who didn’t know me yet. It made me even hungrier to keep going.
