What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

"Running makes me feel free" I'm always trying to get better and faster. I love meeting new athletes from other schools and cheering on my friends. Track and field is the best because while you are on a team, you're mostly competing against yourself.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My mom inspires me to do my best because she couldn't play sports. And I inspire myself because I love seeing people proud of me. I hope my real dad who never comes to my stuff might notice my accomplishments. I mostly want to show everyone how much of a talented athlete I am and feel noticed.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Winning 2 Section V titles in one day in long jump and 55mh hurdles for indoor last year. I broke both of my own school records that day as well. Won a Section V Title in the pentathlon as well. Breaking records is a great feeling.
