Receive Text UpdatesMy daughter loves playing ice hockey because it challenges her to be her best every time she hits the ice. The speed, intensity, and teamwork push her to grow not just as an athlete, but as a person. As the fastest skater on her team—and the only girl on an all-boys AAA team—she thrives on high-pressure moments and uses her speed to make an impact. She loves the game, embraces the grind, and is proud to break barriers while doing what she’s most passionate about.
She’s inspired by Hayley Wickenheiser for her extraordinary talent, leadership, and the trail she blazed for women in hockey. A four-time Olympic gold medalist, Hayley’s competitive grit, determination, and legacy of excellence show what’s possible with passion and relentless hard work—on and off the ice. Meeting her in Vancouver at WickFest 2025 made that inspiration even more powerful and deeply personal.
I’m proudest of when Natalya was selected to represent the NY Islanders' first girls’ international team in Vancouver. Coached by former NHLer Arron Asham, her team went undefeated, won the championship, and she earned MVP. But what made me most proud was how she carried herself—focused, humble, and a true team player. She showed leadership, grit, and confidence, all while representing her team and herself with pride. That moment confirmed not only her talent, but also her character.
