What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

The competitiveness and the ability to learn every practice, every game. To be able to show off the skills learned, and be able to be proud of it.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

I would say the woman in the WNBA. Woman’s sports has become a huge part of sports in the last couple years. It has taught her to reach for the stars, that just because you are a lady doesn’t define your skills. They inspire her to be pro one day.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

What makes me the proudest is that we started at the age of 6. Barely starting out on the basics of fundamentals and now 4 years later playing on 2 teams we are able to dribble behind the back, between the legs, cross over jumpers. The excitement on her face when this is accomplished in a gym full of peers is priceless.
