What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

There are some many facets to Jiu Jitsu, it a never ending game of chess. It’s keeps your mind sharp while improving your strength and conditioning.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My dad. He put me into Jiu Jitsu, kickboxing, boxing and wrestling as a young child. Once Covid came I gained a lot of weight. My dad took me to a new gym and I started to train. He would leave work early just so I could get to my classes.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Overcoming getting beaten. My 1st ever JJ tournament I did not make the podium. I’m fact, my 1st 4 tournaments I didn’t make the podium. But I never gave up and I kept moving forward after I got knocked down. Now I am one of the best in my weight division around the world.
