My son loves the challenge of sport. Every day he believes that there’s a new level that he has to reach and every day there’s a good challenge that he can reach. He’s never fast enough or good enough. There’s always a way to improve.
One of the people that inspired my son is his church brother Zion. Him and Zion have been training for football since they were younger and I recently graduated from carnival O’Hare and now place at Lincoln University. He has become the fastest person on his team and he has won Allstate twice. He’s also inspired by Patrick Mahomes. He watches video recording of every game they have ever played.
The one moment that makes me proud is the day is every day he does not quit every day that he keeps going for a young, black male and a poverty, like a neighborhood quitting is always an option but every day he strives to be better and do better. Win, lose or draw as soon as on the field, and I am proud of those moments because not only is football teaching him. It is teaching him about his strength, his courage and his determination and he can teach others how to have the same discipline
