Nicholas loves the sports he plays because they bring a perfect mix of fun and competition. Whether he’s making saves as a goalie in ice hockey, battling on the lacrosse field, or driving to the hoop in basketball, he thrives on the challenge each game brings. He’s passionate about learning, improving, and growing in every sport. But above all, he values the relationships he builds— it’s more than just a sport.
Nicholas is inspired by Charlie Lindgren, Coach Thompson, and his dad because they show that sports can be both fun and meaningful. They lead by example—always working hard to improve, staying dedicated, and including everyone along the way. Their passion, positivity, and love for the game remind him why he plays and motivate him to be his best both on and off the field.
A super proud moment in Nicholas’s athletic journey came after a hard-fought championship loss. While emotions ran high, Nicholas stepped up and gave his team a powerful pep talk. He reminded his teammates to be proud of how far they’d come, how hard they played, and how much they’d grown together. He encouraged them not to give up, but to use the loss as fuel to keep working and improving. His positivity and leadership helped turn disappointment into motivation for the future.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
