Max loves the thrill of competition, the bond with his teammates, and the challenge of constantly improving. Baseball teaches him discipline, focus, and resilience. He enjoys the strategy of the game and the excitement of making a great play. But most of all, he loves being part of something bigger than himself and pushing his limits every time he steps on the field.
Max is inspired by his coaches, who push him to be better every day, and by his teammates, who show him the value of trust and teamwork. But most of all, he's inspired by his family, he sees the hard work and dedication around him and strives to reflect those values in everything he does, both on and off the field.
One of my proudest moments was when another player's mom told me her son was upset after being teased. She said my son Max immediately stepped in, stood up for his teammate, and shut down the situation. Knowing he chose kindness and leadership without being prompted made me incredibly proud.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
