Nico loves playing sports because they push him to be his best, on and off the field/court. Each sport he plays—football, basketball, and baseball—teaches him something different and helps him grow as an athlete and a person. Football is currently his favorite sport - he loves the energy, the challenge, and how every player has to rely on each other to make plays happen.
He’s inspired by his teammates, and family—especially his parents and grandparents who always support him, no matter the outcome. He looks up to professional athletes who lead with heart, work hard, and stay humble, like Saquon Barkley and Steph Curry. But most of all, he’s inspired by the feeling of pushing himself to get better every day and being someone younger kids, including his sibling can look up to.
I couldn’t be prouder of Nico and everything he accomplished last football season. As a team captain, he was a natural leader—someone his teammates could count on. Nico showed up everyday with determination, putting in the hard work to improve his skills and elevate the team. His dedication paid off in a big way - Nico helped lead his team to a league Super Bowl championship and was named MVP of the game. Through it all, he stayed humble, always giving credit to the coaches and his teammates.
