Nikae loves the camaraderie and competition of basketball and football, I've never seen anybody make a friend so fast in my life, as soon as he is around these sports and people he just lights up and becomes ultra confident in his ability to befriend someone and then compete at a high level! His love for people and his love for basketball and football is unmatched! He definitely has that dog in him but there's nothing he won't do for his friends and for the sports he loves!
Myself, his mother, & his Grandma inspires him the most on and off the field. Myself because I put the basketball in his hands, and I have Coached him since he was little, we share a bond of our love and passion for sports, especially basketball that continues to grow! His mother is his #1 fan & he will do anything for her to make her proud. And his Grandma who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, he most definitely plays for her, she inspires him thru the strength she continues to show.
His 8th grade team was in a basketball tournament and they were playing against his AAU team in this without there second best player and Nikae's best friend and instead of succumbing to the pressure of that moment he rose to the occasion and put his team on his back, scoring 20 pts 10rbs and 5ast, he was unstoppable in that game and though we lost because Nikae got hurt at the very end of the game trying to block his opponents shot, I've never been more prouder, he left it all on the court.
