You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
Noel loves the thrill of it all. Being active and getting to be a part of a team and community is what makes him happy. Aside from his passion for baseball, he genuinely enjoys playing other sports like golf, basketball and football. He also enjoys watching and playing sports on YouTube.
Noel’s grandpa is a huge inspiration on and off the field. His father is not present in his life but it does not matter because his grandpa’s presence is far beyond more than what he could have ever asked for. His grandpa, just like Noel, is a man of very few words and they have similar personalities. Very calm even under pressure.
There was a moment when he played recreational baseball that there was a team bully in the dugout. Noel got sick and tired of hearing the bully pick on kids and call them names and one day, Noel called the bully out and stood his ground. I was so proud of Noel for defending himself, speaking up for his teammates and being an inspiration to his other teammates to stand up for themselves. Whoever knew the quietest kid on the team would be the one to face the bully!? Was never expecting that!
