Thank you for generously supporting O'Shea in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
I like basketball because it’s fun and it helps me clear my head. When I’m on the court, I don’t have to think about anything else—I just get to play. I like being with my team, making plays, and just having a good time. It’s where I feel most like myself.
Giannis Antetokounmpo inspires me because he never gives up on the court—he always fights for his team. But what really makes me look up to him is how much he loves and supports his family. That shows me it’s not just about basketball—it’s about being a good person too.
One of the proudest moments in O’Shea’s athletic journey came from heartbreak. The day his Auntie Sophie passed away, he had a game. He could’ve sat it out—but instead, he chose to play in her honor. He hit the shot that sent the game into overtime… then scored the game winning shot at the buzzer. That day, he showed not only how much he loved her, but also his heart, leadership, and loyalty to his team.
