Octaviann loves track and field not just for the medals or titles, but for the challenge and discipline it brings every day. As a two-time state champion in the 300 hurdles, he’s developed a deep appreciation for the grind—the early mornings, the tough workouts, and the mental focus it takes to improve just a fraction of a second. Hurdling, in particular, has become a passion because it demands speed, rhythm, strength, and control all at once.
Octaviann is inspired by his parents’ constant support, his coaches’ belief in his potential, and the dedication of his teammates who push him to be better every day. He’s also motivated by the success stories of elite track athletes who overcame adversity. These influences drive his passion for the sport, shape his character, and fuel his commitment to improve both on and off the track.
Being selected to compete at the 2025 Nike Outdoor Nationals is one of our proudest moments as parents. Watching Octaviann earn the chance to represent himself on a national stage is a reflection of his hard work, dedication, and love for the sport.
