What Liv loves the most about dance is how she can express her emotions and tell a story with her movements and expressions. Dance is more than just a sport, it is art and it is creativity. She is getting to express herself through the sport she loves most. She loves getting to use her talents to bring joy to others and herself at the same time.
The people who inspire her most are her directors at her studio. They are great examples of where hard work can get you. They not only show the kids they teach how to be great dancers but great people. They are teaching them to work hard, be exceptional students/dancers, and kind people. Another huge inspiration is the other kids she dances with. She is inspired by her peers and older dancers to push even harder and continue to work hard and excel. She is surrounded by so many talented dancers!
I'm proud of her perseverance and all the little moments that lead up to the moment she steps on stage. The extra workouts and stretching, the hours in the studio, the anxiety she fights through every time she dances. She used to become so anxious before every solo, she was afraid to dance alone and be seen or judged by peers. But she wanted this, because she LOVES dance. She wanted to work through it and be brave. And she has. She hasn't let fear win, and I'm so proud of that.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
