Receive Text UpdatesOliver loves swimming because he gets to see friends. It would be really difficult to get through a meet, or practice without friends there. They are at the end of the pool cheering, or hyping him up right before finals. He says he would probably add time in all of his events without them. His friends help if he is doing something wrong, and are always so uplifting. It makes the sport a lot more fun.
Michael Phelps has been an idol of his since he was very young. He even did a Water Bottle Hero project about him in 2nd grade. He aspires to be like Michael Phelps, not only because of his dominance in swimming, but also his advocacy for his fellow man & their well-being. Being an uplifting presents to his teammates has been as important to Oliver as the sport itself.
Oliver is not only an exceptional athlete, but and amazing teammate and friend. He is a cheerleader to each and every teammate. This makes me so proud to call him my son. Oliver is a hard worker. He sets goals and works diligently to reach them.
