What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Oliver loves the competition. Motocross is not a team sport as others. Your victory’s and your losses all depend on yourself and your small team of parents, siblings, mentors. When he wins it’s the ultimate feeling of success! We he loses it’s lowest of low. All the factors of winning and losing are on the rider himself and his mechanic “dad”. To win you have to have all the pieces fall into place. The mechanics of the bike and the mental-physical aspects of the rider. All have to be perfect.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Oliver is inspired by the older and successful pro motorcross riders he gets to ride with on occasion . But mostly his two trainers Colleen and Brian at MTF. Oliver is inspired by their dedication and determination to making himself and other riders better and prepared for the “big leagues” “Ready for the Races”. Colleen and Brian put everything into their program for Oliver’s success in the pro’s.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

As Oliver’s father, I see him work extremely hard it brings tears to my eyes sometimes. He’s up at 530am and runs a couple miles 6 days a week. Then goes to gym for pre warm up and then on the bike training for 2-3 hours 4 days a week. Oliver has school work still to complete which he has achieved the “Dean list” on occasion. Afternoon time is dedicated to working out with his gym trainer Jacob. They encourage him thru vigorous exercises to stay fit and healthy so that Oliver can succeed.
