Join the CompetitionIn recent discussion, Liv has identified her passion for both dance and soccer. Of course, she enjoys dedicating her time alongside her closest friends she’s also developed doing what she enjoys. Recognizing her own progress and learning new skills are what have more recently been her most motivating factor.
Liv looks up to her dance teachers, older dance mates and her peers. Certain choreographers really keep her engaged in certain classes. She has also had older soccer teens and cousins train her which has naturally been fun and motivating. Her dad is also her soccer coach so when they come home and tell me of how awesome of a practice she’s had, I can see his positive words are very influential to her in soccer.
There are so many moments I feel proud watching her dance her soul out on stage or be a leader on the field, however, it’s actually more in the moments when she’s getting ready, sometimes reluctantly, that I feel most proud of her because she’s been doing it already for so long, pulling on tights or cleats, often after a full day of school, always fighting her soccer socks, sometimes sore. And now, more responsible, It brings me joy to see her smile and skip off to her sports.
