Olivia loves gymnastics because it challenges her to grow. She especially loves the uneven bars and the feeling of flying. She enjoys learning new skills, pushing herself, and seeing her hard work pay off. She thrives in the team atmosphere at Camden Gymnastics and loves cheering on her teammates. For Olivia, gymnastics is more than a sport—it’s a place where she feels strong, confident, and truly herself.
Olivia is inspired by Olympians Hezly Rivera and Svetlana Boginskaya. She admires Hezly’s focus and drive and relates to her journey. Svetlana’s strength and grace remind Olivia that power and elegance can go hand in hand. She’s also inspired by her coaches and family, who push her to be her best every day. They remind her that with support and determination, anything is possible.
At a big meet, Olivia fell on her first vault but stayed calm, nailed the second, and won. When I asked if she was nervous, she said, “It’s okay—we get two chances.” That moment showed her grace under pressure and the mental strength gymnastics has built in her. It wasn’t just about winning—it was about how she responded to adversity. I’ve never been prouder of her poise, resilience, and heart.
