What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Liv truly loves the grind. Due to her autism, she likes rigid schedules. The fuller the calendar the better. So she loves that through her multiple clubs, she can practice 5-6 days a week & also is in the gym 5 days a week. She said her life was missing something before she found wrestling & lifting and she didn't have very good self views. Now she's goal oriented, has a new outlook on life & the future and truly believes anything is possible with hard work and determination.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Liv has many coaches who have inspired her to not allow herself to be limited by her autism & to overcome and chase greatness. They are by her side throughout the journey & have built a tremendous foundation of support for her. She is also inspired by friends she has met through wrestling and their continued support. She also finds a lot of inspiration from the youth kids she began helping coach this year in her local club, being a positive role model for them to look up to; leading by example.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

It's difficult to choose just one. Definitely seeing her representing our Country on Team USA, holding the American flag was one that brought tears to my eyes. From the girl who was told she could never wrestle & to try a different sport to competing for our Country. Second moment would be seeing her take on a coaching role & the young wrestlers looking up to her as a role model. She's won many championships, medals, etc. this past year; but those two moments go beyond trophies.
