What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

“My favorite thing about football is the excitement and joy of it because you make a lot of mistakes but you can fix it.”- Omari W.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

“Russel Wilson because he’s a Good Samaritan on & off the field and that’s a good person to look up to.”- Omari W.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One moment in their athletic journey that makes me proudest is seeing that although things didn’t always go his way, such as positions played or routes performed accurately, Omari never wanted to quit. He’d get down on himself, but he also would pick himself back up and keep striving to prove to himself and others what he’s capable of. Football is all he’s talked about since he was 4. Five years later and I clearly see there’s no walking away from this sport because it’s truly his passion.
