My son loves the struggle and the fact that the more he puts into his sport and his training the more he gets out of it. He enjoys the competition, the doubt from people around him, and always proving them wrong. He enjoys seeing the growth and the progress he makes and setting goals for the future. And lastly the people that he meets, the national champions that he connects with and gets advice from motivate and inspire him to continue his journey so he too can be like them one day.
His coach, Nick Manders is a heavy inspiration for him. Nick Is a multiple time national champion and was one of the best in the world. Nick is currently injured, And for my son to see him power through the injury and give his all throughout a tuff spot in his career encourages my son to train through times even when he may not want too, or when his body is telling him to stop.
The proudest moment is just seeing him compete, he is so focused and dedicated to his sport, he trains 5 times a week and also maintains 90’s in all classes in school. he hustles for everything and I think the gym and his sport has taught him the true importance of hard work, even when no one is watching.
