He is the most physical you athlete we've watched! He lives to be his best and has been diligent in improving his athleticism by hitting the gym and watching his favorite sports on tv. He has been asked to play up an age division in the junior league and has excelled there - both physically and on the scoreboard!
He is inspired by Mike Triolo from the Saskatchewan Rush; Not only for his lacrosse skills on the floor, but for insight on how to become more mentally fit, too. Owen often reaches out to Mike with questions and he takes every one of his pieces of advice to heart.
Owen was born with congenital heart defects and had open heart surgery at age 8. We are so lucky that he can play sports (let alone how physical he plays!), so just being able to watch him do all these sorts that he loves makes us all proud. For the last two seasons of lacrosse and hockey, he's been asked to play up an age group (U15 to U17 in hockey and U17 to Junior in lacrosse) and he excelled in both! His love to play for his team is immeasurable!
