I love the competition and pushing myself, all the people I've met and making friends all over the United States at different tracks i have raced. I love working hard and seeing how much progress I have made since I started as a 10 year old Novice. I love my team, we are so supportive of each other and all different ages from 5-60 yrs old but we are all so close.
This might be an unpopular answer but myself. I always try to race better than the day before and push myself harder. If I wreck, I jump up and still try to get back in it. I'm also inspired by my 9 yr old teammate and best buddy Jr, who has diabetes. He tries to be just like me so I try to be the best I can be so he can be his best. He's an absolute beast on the track who doesn't ever complain about his illness.
In '24 he sat a goal for himself to become Gold Cup #1.it's a regional race series where you race kids from 9 States. You earn points by racing Qualifiers in that region and then the final in September is a two day event where you accumulate more points. Owen trained for 4 months working out and training on the track with an experienced trainer. We drove 2 hrs 6xs/week to train and race. At the final, Owen won both days earning his Gold Cup #1 plate. It was the best thing to watch him achieve!!
