Owen loves baseball, track, & football. He trains hard mentally & physically to win & to be the best leader & teammate on the field.

What I love most about being an athlete is being in a physically-competitive environment where I make connections with other athletes like me, and how it pushes me to get stronger & better. I love football because it is action-packed, it forces me to think & react quickly, & I feel strong. I love baseball because of the relationships I’ve made & it has taught me to be confident in myself & push aside my doubts. I love track because it’s an awesome feeling to set a new PR or win an event. -Owen
I want to be an athlete like my biggest inspiration, Bo Jackson. Bo is known for being an All-Star multi-sport athletic phenomenon & I strive to be like the athlete he was. He is my role model for how to overcome challenges & to never give up on myself. He does good things for kids & communities in need. I am inspired to be just like him, competing at a high level of play & giving back to my own community. I look up to Bo Jackson & will push myself to be great like him one day. -Owen
During O’s last football season, he earned his role as starting RB & began the season by being the leading scorer on his team. Then he got injured & couldn’t play for a few weeks. His personal growth in mindset & character at this time made me the most proud. He went to every practice, supported & strategized w/his team on the sidelines at every game, & worked hard in PT to get healthy. He came back in time for playoffs & helped his team go to & win the championship w/2 TDs & an interception!
