Paice loves the individual challenges that sports present, the teamwork that is required (in team sports), and the dedication that it takes to excel at something. She spends countless hours practicing sports that she loves to improve. As Paice regularly participates in hockey, soccer, swimming, downhill skiing, gymnastics, biking, electric scooting, roller blading, golfing, or batting around the baseball - she loves to be active and gives everything she has every time she competes.
On the ice it's #92 Danielle Serdachny of PWHL Seattle in the Professional Women's Hockey League. Paice has interacted with Danielle on multiple occasions - Danielle very soon became her favourite player and 92 soon became her favourite number. Off the ice, Paice is inspired by anyone who works hard. We are proud that our daughter has a never-quit attitude and grateful that she expects and respects that same effort from others in her presence.
We are proud of the passion Paice has shown when pursuing something that she loves. At 5, Paice had been watching for a while and decided that she wished to play hockey. As parents, we instructed her that she would need to learn how to skate first. That season we went to the rink 34 times so that Paice could learn how to skate. She is now in her fourth season and loving it. More importantly, as the challenges get tougher the smile on day 1 at the rink remains just as big - 4 years later.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
