What I love most about playing softball as a teenager is the rush of competition and the bond with my teammates. There is something powerful about stepping onto the field, dirt under my cleats, glove in hand, and knowing I had a role to play. It has taught me discipline, hustle, and how to push through challenges. I love the adrenaline of making a play, the satisfaction of a clean hit, and the energy of cheering each other on in the dugout. Being athletic makes me feel strong an confident.
What inspires me as an athlete is the constant pursuit of growth — mentally, physically, and emotionally. It’s the challenge of pushing past limits I once thought were impossible, and the drive to be just a little better than I was yesterday. I’m inspired by the people who show up with heart, grit, and resilience — even when no one is watching.
One of my proudest moments as an athlete was making the varsity softball team as a freshman. Stepping onto the field with upperclassmen was intimidating at first, but I knew I earned my spot. Hitting my first home run in a varsity game was a moment I’ll never forget — it was proof that hard work, extra hours of practice, and believing in myself paid off.
