What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What Pengxu enjoys most about diving is learning a new dive. He embraces the repetition and discipline it takes to perform it well. He loves the whole process--from starting unsure to building confidence through practice to executing it in competition. Pengxu is always excited to set new goals whether it's mastering a more difficult dive or achieving a new personal record.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Pengxu's competitors are his inspiration. Their success challenges him to keep pushing forward and putting in the work to improve. He doesn't see competition as a conflict but as motivation to grow. Watching others excel energizes him by reminding him that he, too, can become an elite athlete in his sport with dedication, time, and effort.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

There isn't just one moment that makes us proud of Pengxu--it's the consistency, dedication, and heart he gives to diving every single day. From the moment he pointed at the board and said he "want(ed) to do that too," he's never looked back. He simply loves the sport from learning new dives and pushing himself to grow to encouraging teammates and connecting with divers from around the world. He shows up and always gives his all.
