Her dad. He was 22, had 2 baby girls and a wife and was playing for Seattle Mariners. He’s a great dad and inspired her on and off the field. He is her coach and mentor. She love sports because they teach many life lessons. Time management, teamwork, mental quickness recovery, organization and a winning attitude.
There was a point at 13yro where her parents were divorced, things were bad and she was convinced for a moment that it would make life easier to quit. She called her papa who was her coach at the time and told him. He told her it was fine. We had a tournament in 2 days with no first baseman and minus a pitcher. The night before the tourney she called him crying and said no way she could quit ball. She caught a ride with another player at 5:00 am and has been going strong ever since.
