What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Porter prides himself on learning on and off the field and appreciates how being an athlete prepares him for life and the continued lessons. He loves being able to support, assist, and of course score in both sports. He is honored to play for both club teams and represents through grit, teamwork and determination to succeed. He is loyal on and off the court and field and honors his friendships. He is a natural leader and loves being pushed to be better through tough competition.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My parents-they are there to pick me up and no conversation is off the table. They tell me to be a good teammate and always leave it on the field. Give your all and you will succeed, just be a good human and be KIND! My soccer teammate Luis because he inspires me to work harder. He is fast and his ball handling is one of a kind and it inspires me to keep working. My basketball teammates inspire me to be better at ball handling and shooting, always cheering me on and supporting my growth

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

These club teams were all Porters idea, he was ready and we weren’t! Pivotal moment has been seeing Porter step into basketball where he was the least experienced kid on the team and he has persevered through hard work, dedication and being coachable. We are most proud of Porters heart. Heart for the game and heart for people. He is so kind and eager to be a leader, a supportive teammate and wants to see everyone succeed not just himself.
