Porthos loves how basketball fuels his passion, focus, and determination. He thrives on the adrenaline of close games, the roar of the crowd, and the bonds formed through teamwork. The court feels like home, a place where he can express himself fully, test his limits, and grow both as an athlete and as a person. For him, every practice and game is a chance to improve, connect with friends, and chase excellence while having fun.
Porthos is inspired by his coach, who taught him that success is built on discipline, integrity, and relentless effort, and by his parents, whose unwavering support and sacrifices remind him daily to stay humble, grateful, and driven. He also admires pro athletes who use their platforms to advocate for justice and community, showing him that leadership and character extend far beyond the scoreboard.
The proudest moment was when Porthos, despite suffering a sprained ankle mid-season, showed incredible resilience and leadership. Unable to play, he still attended every game and practice, motivating his teammates, studying plays, and helping strategize. His selflessness, courage, and team-first spirit proved that true greatness isn’t just about scoring points but about lifting others and leading with heart.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
