Rahnia likes the competitiveness and growing as a person and athlete. She builds meaningful relationships with her teammates and coaches. The skills she is learning as an athlete she can take into adult life and it makes her a well rounded person. She has had some bad coaches and has learned from those experiences to never give up and keep fighting. Rahnia enjoys the thrill of winning. When she sees a ball get out of her way, she’s like a bull in a china shop with the focus.
The people Rahnia looks up to are her teammates, coaches, and even athletic training staff. She learns so much from these people and she always holds them dear to her as they mentor her through her toughest and proudest moments. She builds meaningful relationships with them that allows for support.
Overcoming adversity at her old high school. This year she has been through reconstructive ACL surgery and her determination and dedication has not kept her down long. In 5 months she is already back on the court. We have moved to a new school, where she knew no one, and has excelled in making friends and joining the Varsity volleyball team.
