Thank you for generously supporting Raquel in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
They thrive on the competition. It pushes them to test where they are, how far they’ve come, and how much further they can go. They embrace the opportunity to showcase their growth, their grit, and the lessons learned along the way. They also like the opportunity to play alongside athletes with the same passion and mindset
She thrives on watching college athletes, especially players like Megan Grant from UCLA Softball. Seeing someone at that level who still shares their passion for both softball and basketball inspires her. Megan’s journey and the dedication shown by her coaches proved that with hard work, determination, and love for the game, anything is possible. It's those moments that fuel her own dreams and push her to keep going.
The proudest moment in her athletic journey so far has been watching her grow from hitting her first in-the-park home run to making the All-Star team. But even more than the stats, it's seeing her take initiative: going out to practice on her own, without being told, driven purely by her love for the game and her desire to get better. That kind of heart and work ethic is what makes it all worth it.
