Join the CompetitionRaven loves the freeing feeling while gliding the ice in Ringette as well the challenge and competition. The thrill of winning and learnings from losing all while having fun with her Teammates. She also likes the camaraderie and teamwork and she get to teach and share what she knew with the kids in Taekwondo. Overall, she just gets excited about getting better and the support she's getting from the coaches, parents and her team.
As per Raven, she's inspired by all the people around her. Coaches who makes her capable and seen, her Teammates and friends who'll always cheer for her and are really positive in pushing each other to be better. As a student leader and band member in school, she's inspired by the impact and ideas by her teachers and fellow leaders in making the environment more fun for everyone. Lastly, us, her parents or siblings who has been her biggest supporter and that gives her confidence and honor.
As a parent, there are a few but the proudest was when a parent came to us saying that he wanted to also say thank you to us as Raven always let his daughter feel included and really become friends with her. We learned that his daughter struggle to make friends and is autistic but Raven never fail to encourage her to keep trying. Indeed, sports isn't about winning but about character.
